Negron Foundation

My grandfather, Luis Angel Negron, meant the world to me. I’ll never forget the moment I learned he passed away on November 14, 2018—I was in my Civil Procedure seminar, and suddenly everything changed. The loss was overwhelming. Growing up, whenever I visited him in Reading, PA, I saw firsthand the difference he made in people’s lives. Everyone knew him as the Mayor of 9th Street because he was always there to lend a helping hand or advocate for someone in need. He ran a few secondhand furniture stores, and each visit was a lesson in hard work, resilience, and the importance of independence. Watching him, I learned the true meaning of community. In his honor, I founded the Negron Foundation, and I am dedicated to carrying on his legacy of service and compassion for others.

The Negron Foundation brings together families to work, reconnect, and thrive by fostering a strong sense of community and shared purpose. Through a variety of programs and initiatives, the Foundation encourages families to collaborate on meaningful projects, support each other through challenges, and celebrate their successes together. By providing opportunities for personal growth, education, and mutual support, the Negron Foundation helps families build lasting connections and empowers them to create positive change in their own lives and in their communities.
